Keeping my phone on while I search after 16 years as a mechanic

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Employers call and email constantly. What else should I consider?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
