Keeping my phone on while I search - 11 months and counting

I use my phone as my only connection. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What did you switch to?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
