Keeping my phone on while I search - 10 months and counting

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. Any experience at all would help. Employers call and email constantly. Did you qualify for any programmes?

I switched to a low-cost plan through my carrier and cut my bill by almost half.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
