I posted here 8 weeks ago when I was panicking about my layoff as a security officer. Any experience at all would help. Two tips made a real difference: keeping a log and asking for help early. What would help newcomers most?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
