Just wanted to say thanks - any advice?

I have read this forum every day since I lost my job. I worked as a forklift operator before this. I am still searching but I have a plan. What would help newcomers most?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
