How do you organise your week after a layoff? - what worked for you?

I want a realistic schedule for the week that does not burn me out. I am in Kansas City, in case local advice matters. Some days I do nothing and feel guilty. What does your day look like?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
