How do you organise your week after a layoff? (update)

Since my layoff as an insurance claims processor I have no real structure. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What does your day look like?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I use one day for networking, one for applications and one for learning something. Variety helps.
