How do you organise your week after a layoff? (update)

I have been out of work for 24 weeks and my days blur together. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What helps you switch off?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
