How do you organise your week after a layoff? - any advice?

Since my layoff as an electrician's helper I have no real structure. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. How many hours do you really work on the search?

Write a short list the night before. Waking up with a plan is a relief.
