How do you organise your week after a layoff? - any advice?

I want a realistic schedule for the week that does not burn me out. I am in Fresno, in case local advice matters. Some days I do nothing and feel guilty. How many hours do you really work on the search?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
