How do you organise your week after a layoff? - any advice?

Since my layoff as an accountant I have no real structure. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What helps you switch off?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
