How do you organise your week after a layoff? after 5 years as an electrician's helper

Since my layoff as an electrician's helper I have no real structure. Any experience at all would help. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What helps you switch off?

I aim for three focused hours, then stop. More than that and my applications got worse.
