How do you handle bills on unemployment? - what worked for you?

My income is now a fraction of what it was as a copywriter and I am trying to cover the essentials. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. Did lenders work with you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
