How do you handle bills on unemployment? - what worked for you?

I am $200 short each month and trying to find it. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. What helped you?

Check for energy assistance programmes. I got a credit that covered two bills.
