How do you handle bills on unemployment? (Boston)

We are a household of 12 and the budget no longer works. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. What helped you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
