How do you handle bills on unemployment?

I am $900 short each month and trying to find it. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The rent is fixed and the car payment is high. Any apps or methods?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Check for energy assistance programmes. I got a credit that covered two bills.
