How do you handle bills on unemployment? - any advice?

We are a household of 8 and the budget no longer works. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. What helped you?

Check for energy assistance programmes. I got a credit that covered two bills.

I called each lender and asked for a hardship plan. Two agreed to lower payments for a few months.
