How do you handle bills on unemployment? - any advice?

I am $1050 short each month and trying to find it. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. What helped you?

Check for energy assistance programmes. I got a credit that covered two bills.
