How do you handle bills on unemployment? - 7 months and counting

We are a household of 17 and the budget no longer works. I am in Phoenix, in case local advice matters. I am nervous about falling behind. Did lenders work with you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

I called each lender and asked for a hardship plan. Two agreed to lower payments for a few months.
