How do you handle bills on unemployment?

I am $150 short each month and trying to find it. It has been a long 24 weeks. The rent is fixed and the car payment is high. Did lenders work with you?

I called each lender and asked for a hardship plan. Two agreed to lower payments for a few months.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
