Getting to interviews without a car in Salt Lake City after 5 years as a dental hygienist

I do not have a car and interviews in Salt Lake City are spread around. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some employers are off the main lines. What do you use?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
