Getting to interviews without a car in Richmond after 10 years as a recruiter

I do not have a car and interviews in Richmond are spread around. Any experience at all would help. I can walk part of the way. Are there discounted passes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
