Getting to interviews without a car in Milwaukee after 4 years as a retail manager

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some employers are off the main lines. What do you use?

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.
