Getting to interviews without a car in Dallas - 18 weeks in

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as an office manager. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. I can walk part of the way. Are there discounted passes?

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
