Getting to interviews without a car in Charlotte - what worked for you?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a school bus driver. There are 3 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
