Getting to interviews without a car in Boston - what worked for you?

I do not have a car and interviews in Boston are spread around. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I do not want to be late. Are there discounted passes?

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
