Getting to interviews without a car in Birmingham - what worked for you?

I do not have a car and interviews in Birmingham are spread around. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some employers are off the main lines.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
