Free resources I wish I had found sooner - what worked for you?

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a call-centre agent in Birmingham. The workforce centre ran a weekly job club. Any other programmes worth trying?

Call 211 to hear about local help with food, rent and utilities. It is free and open at all hours.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
