Free resources I wish I had found sooner - what worked for you?

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as an operations analyst in Kansas City. Any experience at all would help. The library had résumé help and free computer time.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
