Free resources I wish I had found sooner - what worked for you?

I found a few free services in Detroit that I did not know about. A food pantry near me has evening hours. Has anyone used the tax clinics?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
