I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a hotel front-desk agent in St. Louis. The library had résumé help and free computer time. Any other programmes worth trying?

Call 211 to hear about local help with food, rent and utilities. It is free and open at all hours.

The job club at my workforce centre introduced me to two people who later referred me.
