Free resources I wish I had found sooner - any advice?

I found a few free services in Buffalo that I did not know about. A food pantry near me has evening hours. What else is out there?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
