Free resources I wish I had found sooner after 6 years as a janitorial supervisor

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a janitorial supervisor in Pittsburgh. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The workforce centre ran a weekly job club. Any other programmes worth trying?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
