Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - what worked for you?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a pharmacy technician. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
