Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a project coordinator. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.
