Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

I do not have a car and interviews in Honolulu are spread around. Thank you in advance. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
