Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

I do not have a car and interviews in Madison are spread around. Any experience at all would help. Some employers are off the main lines.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
