Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as an administrative assistant. It has been weighing on me all week. Some employers are off the main lines. Any rideshare programmes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
