Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. It has been weighing on me all week. I do not want to be late. What do you use?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
