Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I worked as a store manager before this. Some employers are off the main lines. Any rideshare programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
