Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (update)

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a software tester. I do not want to be late. What do you use?

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
