Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (San Diego)

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a bookkeeper. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I do not want to be late.

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
