Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (Sacramento)

I do not have a car and interviews in Sacramento are spread around. Any experience at all would help. I can walk part of the way.

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
