Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (Raleigh)

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a bookkeeper. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
