Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? (Portland)

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as an HR coordinator. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I can walk part of the way. Are there discounted passes?

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
