Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - first time posting

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a bank teller. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. I do not want to be late. What do you use?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
