Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - any advice?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a forklift operator. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I can walk part of the way.

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.
