Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - any advice?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as an IT help-desk technician. It has been a long 5 weeks. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
