Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - any advice?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as an IT help-desk technician. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.
