Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? after 9 years as a software tester

I do not have a car and interviews in Sacramento are spread around. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Some employers are off the main lines. What do you use?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
